Yesterday’s Paint Your Pet event was absolutely amazing! There was so much laughter, fun and love in one place, and it was exactly what our rescue needed.

We are so grateful to every single person who came out, painted their babies and supported NAIA’s Pet Rescue. When you attend one of our events, you are doing so much more than just having a fun day—you are helping us continue caring for the animals who need us.

A huge thank you to Sarizzy Art Studio for putting so much time and love into making this event so special. Everyone’s paintings came out amazing, and watching each one come together was so much fun.

We may be a small rescue with a little but mighty group behind us, but yesterday reminded us how much love and support truly surrounds NAIA’s.

Thank you to everyone who came, helped, supported and shared this beautiful day with us. Nothing goes unnoticed, and we are so grateful. ❤️🐾🎨

Rain or shine, Bluey is ready for his Dog Day Out! 🌧️💙🐾

The moment Bluey realized his friend Brianna had arrived to pick him up, he became so excited! He happily headed off in his little raincoat, completely prepared for whatever adventure the day brings—and happy as can be! 🥰

We can’t wait to see the pictures and hear all about their day together. Have the best adventure, Bluey and Brianna!

And who knows…maybe someone will see Bluey enjoying his day and realize he’s the perfect addition to their family. 💙

Interested in adopting Bluey? Interested in our Dogs Day Out program? Please message NAIA’s Pet Rescue.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Lambeau 🌈

Yesterday our hearts are a little heavier as we said goodbye to our sweet little Lambeau.

Lambeau came to us as a foster, but somewhere along the way, he became so much more. He became our forever foster and a very special part of both our Beach Dog and NAIA’s Rescue families.

If you knew Lambeau, you knew he had a personality much bigger than his little body. He was spicy, opinionated, and definitely knew exactly what he wanted and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing about him. His sass was part of what made Lambeau… Lambeau. ❤️

Caring for him truly took a village. Over the years, so many incredible people played a part in giving this little guy the life he deserved. Staff, volunteers, fosters, veterinarians and friends all loved him, cared for him, worried about him, spoiled him and made sure he always knew he belonged.

Lambeau ultimately lost his battle with kidney failure, but he left this world surrounded by something he never lacked love.

Not every rescue story ends with an adoption. Sometimes the happy ending is knowing that an animal who needed you found a family in an entire village of people. Lambeau found his family with us, and we were lucky enough to be his.

Thank you to every single person who helped care for and love our spicy little man. You gave him a beautiful life.

Run free, Lambeau. 🌈🐾
There will never be another quite like you.

Forever our foster. Forever our family. Forever loved. ❤️

OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING HADES

NAIA’s Pet Rescue is issuing this statement because false accusations are being posted across our page, on unrelated adoption posts and in reviews by individuals who have never personally worked with our rescue.

Hades was not found, stolen or surrendered to us by an unrelated third party.

The original buyer the person who purchased Hades directly from the breeder personally and voluntarily surrendered him to our rescue. He provided proof that he was Hades owner, signed our owner surrender agreement and authorized the transfer of Hades’ microchip registration.

The microchip company accepted and completed the owner’s transfer to Jennifer on behalf of NAIA’s Pet Rescue. As part of our normal veterinary procedures, animals entering our foster program are scanned for a microchip. Our veterinarian scanned Hades and confirmed that the registration had already been transferred by the original buyer.

Therefore, we had a direct surrender from the documented owner, a signed surrender agreement and a completed microchip transfer. Nothing indicated that Hades was lost, stolen or being surrendered by an unauthorized third party.

There is also much more to Hades story than what is being portrayed online.

This situation developed over approximately one year as Hades owners faced unexpected immigration circumstances. Initially, they hoped to find a safe place for him to stay temporarily while they worked toward returning to the United States. They contacted the breeder for assistance, but the breeder stated in writing that she could not house or board Hades for the requested period.

The owners then contacted Jennifer, who offered to help care for Hades. As time passed, circumstances changed and the owners learned that they would not be able to return as planned. They even attempted to obtain approval for Hades to relocate internationally with them, but that effort was unsuccessful.

Only after those efforts failed did the original buyer formally surrender Hades to NAIA’s Pet Rescue.

NAIA’s Pet Rescue was not a party to the private purchase contract between the breeder and the original buyer. At the time of the surrender, we were not provided with a breeder contract or informed that the breeder expected Hades to be returned to her. Any disagreement concerning that agreement must be addressed between the people who signed it.

Had the breeder contacted our rescue before Hades was adopted, or had we been made aware of her position at that time, the circumstances could have been discussed directly. Instead, we learned of the dispute only after Hades had been fully cared for and placed with his new family.

Once Hades was surrendered, our rescue accepted complete responsibility for him. He was never confined in a shelter or kept in a cage for months. He stayed at BEACH Dog Daycare, an exceptional cage free facility where he was surrounded by love, received attention and enrichment, and had the opportunity to play with other dogs.

Hades has a significant chronic skin condition. NAIA’s Pet Rescue provided veterinary care and invested thousands of dollars in his treatment, housing and overall well being. We have retained his veterinary records, invoices and care documentation.

Hades was initially placed in an adoptive home, but the placement was not the right fit and he was returned to our rescue in accordance with our adoption agreement. We continued caring for him until we found him another thoroughly screened, loving adoptive family.

Hades was not “sold.” He was adopted through our nonprofit rescue following our standard application, screening, background check and adoption process. As with other nonprofit rescues, an adoption fee helps offset only a small portion of the veterinary, housing and care expenses invested in an animal.

We will not publicly release the surrender agreement, microchip number, veterinary records, immigration information or adopter information because these materials contain private and identifying information. However, all relevant documentation has been preserved.

The accusations that NAIA’s Pet Rescue stole Hades, obtained him from an unauthorized person, neglected him or engaged in illegal activity are false.

Those attacking our rescue online do not know the year-long history behind this situation or the efforts made to keep Hades safe. They are turning a complicated situation with a genuinely beautiful outcome into a public controversy that is now harming other animals who still need homes.

We have provided the facts and will not continue debating this matter on social media. Harassing, profane or repetitive comments will be documented, removed and reported, and participating accounts may be blocked.

Our responsibility was to protect Hades, provide the care he needed and place him with a safe, loving family. That is exactly what we did.

Hades is loved, cared for and living a wonderful life. That not social media conflict is what should matter most.

The original buyer—the person who purchased Hades from the breeder—personally and voluntarily surrendered him directly to NAIA’s Pet Rescue. He was the registered owner, signed our owner-surrender agreement and transferred Hades’ microchip registration to our rescue. We have documentation confirming the surrender and transfer.

Before surrendering Hades to us, the original owner contacted the breeder for assistance. The breeder stated in writing that she was unable to house or board Hades for the period the owner requested.

NAIA’s Pet Rescue was not a party to the private purchase contract between the breeder and the original buyer. Any disagreement concerning that agreement must be addressed between the people who signed it.

Once Hades was surrendered, our rescue accepted complete responsibility for him. He was not confined in a shelter or kept in a cage for months. He stayed at BEACH Dog Daycare, a wonderful cage-free facility where he received attention, enrichment and the opportunity to play with other dogs.

Hades has a significant chronic skin condition. NAIA’s Pet Rescue provided veterinary care and invested thousands of dollars in his treatment, housing and overall well-being. We have retained his veterinary records, invoices and care documentation.

Hades was initially placed in an adoptive home, but the placement was not the right fit and he was returned to our rescue in accordance with our adoption agreement. We continued caring for him until we found him another thoroughly screened, loving adoptive family.

Hades was not “sold.” He was adopted through our nonprofit rescue following our standard application, screening and adoption process. As with other nonprofit rescues, an adoption fee helps offset only a portion of the veterinary and care expenses invested in an animal.

We will not publicly release surrender paperwork, microchip information, veterinary records or adopter information because these documents contain private information. However, all relevant documentation has been preserved.

The accusations that NAIA’s Pet Rescue stole Hades, obtained him from an unauthorized third party, neglected him or engaged in illegal activity are false.

We welcome respectful questions from people genuinely seeking information. However, repeated accusations, profanity, harassment and unrelated attacks posted across our adoption listings are harming the animals who still need homes.

We have provided the facts and will not continue debating this matter on social media. Harassing or repetitive comments will be documented, removed and reported, and participating accounts may be blocked.

Our responsibility was to protect Hades, provide the care he needed and place him with a safe, loving family. That is exactly what we did. Hades is loved, cared for and in a wonderful home— living his best life, his new best friend and his well-being remains what matters most!
