Women in the Window International is a ministry that reaches into the 10/40 Window of the world to bring life-giving hope to women from the One who is the hope of all the world: Jesus Christ. "And His name will be the hope of all the world" (Matthew 12:21). We provide comprehensive training for women in their unique context and culture so that local women leaders are equipped to train and equip ot
her women in their communities to fulfill their God-given potential. As a result of the training, they become life-changing agents of Christ's love and power within their homes, churches, communities, nations, and beyond. Our training is categorized in 5 distinct capacity-building strategies and takes place in the 10/40 Window, a geographical region of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The capacities we address are:
• Heart – Spiritual formation and discipleship training
• Hands – Vocational and economic development
• Head – Education and leadership development
• Health – Hygiene, nutrition, and other key aspects of health and physical development
• Advocacy – Human rights assessment, awareness, and activity to set the captives free
The strategy of training women leaders has both biblical precedence and social impact. Biblical accounts remind us that women are remarkable leaders and commanded to train younger women to serve their families, communities, and nations. Societies across the globe benefit as women are equipped and gather other women to share in specific capacity-building trainings. Some facts about women's trainings:
• Micro-enterprise training for women alleviates poverty and results in stronger homes and church plants as women are excellent stewards of their financial resources!
• Health training improves the quality of life for the entire family and becomes an outreach platform to reach a community with the Good News of the Gospel.
