We’re proud to host the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp here at Cox Science Center and Aquarium and applications are officially open. It’s a free program where students in grades 9 through 12 learn to actually use AI, build a real project, and work alongside our team and other students who share their interests.
No experience needed. No cost to attend. Just three Saturdays with us.

At the AI Bootcamp we’re hosting at Cox Science Center and Aquarium with Palm Beach State College, students pick the path that fits their interests, then spend the program building an AI project in that direction with a group headed the same way. On the last day, they present what they made.

LEARN, GROW, EXPLORE, INSPIRE!
This summer middle and high school students were challenged in AI Workshops taught by PBC STEM Teacher Externs at Cox Science Center and Aquarium. Students developed amazing projects with professional presentations on solving problems using AI tools. Students were taught ethical use and responsibility when using AI and developed prompt engineering skills and critical thinking. Special thanks to Stiles-Nicholson Foundation for supporting the camps and FAU Stiles-Nicholson STEM Teacher Academy SNSTA for training the teachers!

Cox Science Center and Aquarium AI Workshops for middle and high school students were taught by AI Externs from PBC STEM Ecosystem and funding from Stiles-Nicholson Foundation. Incredible! Learn, Grow, Teach, Share, Inspire - and that was just the STUDENTS! We were all inspired and learned so much from one another and developed skills to take back to the classroom!

Kids Teaching Kids Academy: What did your kids do this summer? This sixth-grader and his friends started a nonprofit, became leaders, served the community and developed vital teamwork and communication skills!

Kids Teaching Kids Academy taught 20 students how to build computers, learn AI and take home the PCs they built themselves.

AI Externship program allows educators to learn, lead, and create. Educators collaborate on a 1-day camp and deliver the activities they designed to middle and high school students. This deepens educator knowledge and confidence while promoting and scaling AI Literacy of students in our community.
