Understanding Tardive Dyskensia lecture

May 05, 2026
12:00 – 12:45 PM ET
Presenter: Sabina Goldstein, MD

Presentation Overview: Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a movement disorder that can develop after taking certain psychiatric medications, often gradually and sometimes unnoticed at first. This session will help you recognize early signs, understand who is at risk, and feel confident advocating for evaluation and care. We’ll focus on what TD looks like in real life, how to talk to healthcare providers about concerns, and what steps can be taken if symptoms appear. No medical background required - just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

1 CEU available for psychologists, nurses, mental health counselors, social workers and marriage and family counselors courtesy of Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center. Must attend entire presentation to be eligible.
