Tuesday is Election Day! 🗳️

We have 2 polling places within the SENA boundaries - check www.votepalmbeach.gov if you have any questions about where you should vote.

A few notes on this primary election:

All registered voters should have received their sample ballots in the mail by this time. Your ballot will allow you to vote only for candidates in your own party, with one exception: the County Commissioner race for District 2. For this election, only Democratic candidates qualified for County Commission District 2, which is the seat that will be vacated by Greg Weiss when he terms out this November. As a result, this contest is a Universal Primary Contest, and all qualified voters residing in the affected district may vote in this race regardless of party affiliation. In Florida, a Universal Primary Contest occurs when only candidates from the same political party have qualified for an office, and the winner will have no opposition in the general election.

Statewide races include: US Senator, Congressional Representative - District 23, Governor and Lt. Governor, Chief Financial Officer, Commissioner of Agriculture, and State Representative District 87.

Southend residents - this fatal hit and run occurred before 2 am on Monday evening on the 4900 block of S. Olive. Closest cross streets include -Russlyn, Murray, East Lakewood, Puritan and Pilgrim.

Police are seeking any security camera footage from Monday late evening that may help identify the driver of the vehicle who fled the scene. Please spread the word. Sadly Connor Blais, an employee of O’Shea’s who was returning home from work lost his life.

Anyone with information or video footage is urged to contact Detective Hatfield with the West Palm Beach Police Department at 561-822-1784. Please reference case number 20260009954.

“Connor was an adventurous person. He never met a stranger. Every place he went, people would fall in love with him,” said his mother, Janet Blais, who traveled across the state to be with his work family after the tragedy.

Last night our Connor was struck and Killed by a hit and run on his way home.
Police found Connor Blais, 28, on the 4900 block of South Olive Avenue around 1:50 a.m. Monday morning
Police believe the car is damaged and said to be on the look out for such a vehicle.
