Bak MSOA PTO Bak Middle School of the Arts PTO From that time on, the PTO has worked in close collaboration with the school.

The PTO was established in 1998 by an involved group of parents who wanted to help provide financial and volunteer support for programming and activities that enrich the curriculum. Its fundraising efforts vary from the traditional coupon book sales to "Starfest," an annual spring program of dinner and shows in all art areas that benefits the PTO's Sunshine Reserve Funds for Staff and Students, wh

ich provide aid during times of emergency. Due to changing educational needs and school budget cuts, the PTO has broadened its focus to include essential funding for technology ($30,000 this year alone), individual teacher grants, and educational materials. Projects Funded for 2013-2014: Technological Equipment (30 new laptops and upgrades); Teacher Training Programs; Individual Teacher Grants; Cork Bulletin Boards; Work Display Rails; Outdoor Table Umbrellas; Cafeteria Microwave Ovens; Copier/Scanner; Specialty Paper; Clay Pot Projects; Geo-model Folding Shapes for Math Classes; Educational Science Apps; Blue Tooth Adaptors; Educational Material Subscriptions; Activity Bus Funding; Hospitality for Staff (Holiday Luncheon and Cookie Exchange) and Students (6th Grade Welcome and 8th Grade Dance); Emergency Funding for Staff and Students

Today we met amazing new families and students who were so excited to be starting this exciting new chapter called Middle School 🥰.

It was noticeable how proud they are to be a part of the Bak MSOA family.
✨
As usual, we were very grateful to some amazing volunteers.
✨
We had our “usual suspects,” but also even some new parents!
✨
Some that came in to help, went to their kids’ orientation and stayed to help some more.
✨
We were at awe with your caring towards our children’s education.
✨
We are looking forward to an amazing school year of 2026-2027.

The school is still in need for a few more volunteers to help at the media center distributing books to the new students during orientation this coming Saturday.

Also, they are in dire need of volunteers for
Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11th and 12th: 8:00 AM-11:30 AM and 11:15 AM- 3:00 PM.
