We have a special raffle item at our next Fun Meeting: a portable solar wax melter made for our Florida sunshine! Place old comb in the upper chamber, and the melted wax drips into a collection tray below. Its locking lid and folding legs make it easy to store.

Look for the yellow tickets to enter this raffle. They’re different from our usual tickets, so be sure to ask for yellow if you want a chance to take the melter home.

We’re excited to welcome Hilary Kearney of Girl Next Door Honey, author of QueenSpotting, for a special weekend of beekeeping education!

🐝 Then on Saturday, October 3, take what you learned into the apiary during a hands-on beekeeping workshop with Hilary, geared toward newer and intermediate beekeepers who want more confidence inspecting their hives.

What a night at PBCBA! 🐝👑

A huge thank you to Ted Miksa of Miksa Honey Farms for joining us and giving our members an inside look at commercial queen production. Lots of great information, great conversations, and, of course, some very happy beekeepers went home with Miksa queens from our raffle!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it another great PBCBA Fun Meeting. We love seeing our beekeeping community learn, connect, and grow together.
