Medicare Fraud Prevention Week Tip: Track What Happens at Your Appointments📒

One of the best ways to protect yourself from Medicare fraud is to keep track of your health care visits. Request a My Health Care Tracker from the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) and use it to record details from your appointments.

When you receive your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or Explanation of Benefits (EOB), compare the services listed with your notes. This simple step can help you spot billing errors, services you didn’t receive, or other suspicious activity.

If something doesn’t look right, report it to the SMP. Together, we can help prevent, detect, and report Medicare fraud.
