Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors

Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors Outings range from afternoon hikes to kayaking to tent camping and more. We love to hike, canoe, kayak, bike ride, snorkel, and more. Thank you!

We are a program of volunteers by the Sierra Club that provides nature outings for kids and teens in Palm Beach County, Florida, who otherwise don't have these opportunities. Palm Beach County ICO is a program of the Sierra Club dedicated to exposing South Florida youth to the wonders of nature. We are led completely by volunteer leaders who devote their time to take youth who would not otherwise

have the opportunity on safe and fun outdoor trips. Some of our great trips have been to Myakka River State Park, Johnathan Dickinson State Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades National Park, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center! If you'd like to donate to help our cause, please do so on our website page.

We’re so grateful for all our amazing volunteers who make our outings with area youth happen all year. It was wonderful having everyone gather for a celebration of their work and commitment. We’re especially proud of trip leader Pamela Maldonado who won the Sierra Club Florida Otter Award for her years of volunteer efforts with ICO.

If you’d like to learn about volunteering with us, let us know!

So glad to be able to take the Palm Beach Pace Center for Girls on a final outing before the school year ends, to a learn about raptors (and dissect their waste!) at Okeeheelee Park. With all the crazy things going on in the world and in our own community, we love that we get to take kids out into nature to experience the joys and relaxation that can only be found there. We teamed up with National Audubon Society members to introduce youth from Bridges at Lake Worth to the wonder of birds that call Florida home. Thanks go to Janet for leading the outing and to Tina and Zara for assisting.

Remember that these Sierra Club outings are possible only through donations from the community, which can be made here:

Great outing today with kids from Bridges at Lake Worth in Riverbend Park. We saw lots of trees, birds, two deer, and a bit of the re-enactment of a battle from the Seminole Indian War. Thanks for volunteering to lead it, Janet!

Please donate and/or volunteer! We take under-resourced youth exploring the amazing wetlands, rivers, natural areas and other nature in our beautiful Palm Beach County, Florida, through this Sierra Club Foundation program.
We need more adult volunteers to assist with our outings. And we always need monetary donations (of any size) to help pay for food, fees, and gear--since outings are always free for the kids.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation at https://bit.ly/493YS8R or learn more about us in the link in the comments. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
