Good Afternoon FB Friends:

It is so hard to believe that Palm Beach County Public Schools have entered into the 2nd week of school. The summer went by really fast…..however, “The Sun” continues to bake us all.😜.

There are a low percentage of kids that are home schooled. Some by choice, others out of fear and worry. My heart goes out to families that are diagnosed with cancer and just trying to balance life on a daily basis.

Pictured below, a beautiful family (The Salazar’s). Vicki (mom) was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time. A local community organization referred this family to The Pink Queen Foundation. Mom decided to home school the kids, as she wants to keep her girls close to her. Although, she is very weak and frail….. mom has not given up on herself, and continues to trust God through the process.

This family is currently faced with the uncertain/unknown. Vicki(mom) has qualified for another trial treatment in hopes of a positive outcome.

The Pink Queen Foundation was able to bless this family with a Hope Basket, WaWa Gift Card, and her girls (Dunkin and Subway gift cards)along with a blanket and journals.

This family is in desperate need of financial support. Dad had to take a leave from his job to care for and travel mom to Tampa for trial treatments. This family has no income coming in and are relying on their church family, and food pantries to get by. Their landlord has been working with them to try and prevent eviction.

If anyone know of any organizations that can help this family with living expenses, please send a DM.

Thank you kindly for reading/ or sharing this post.

A new week, an opportunity to reflect back before moving forward. Nonprofit charity work is, hard work from the heart. As we navigate through these current challenges within our current environment. Impactful community work becomes less a priority for grassroot organizations. However remembering the Y, reviewing the strategic plan, Iong, and short term goals is essential to appreciating the growth factor.

Looking back gives us the strength and encouragement to move forward. Instead of running forward in a marathon.... slowing down to walk forward with a blind fold is a test of commitment, passion, faith and Y to continue to walk on that blind-folded path.

Wait Wait.... before we begin the walk of uncertainty, let us pause to reflect back on the education, advocacy, and impact that has been poured into our "Bridging Families On The Cancer Journey Program". This is not a summer program/traditional program. This program is of awareness, understanding, advocacy, funfilled memories, and a long lasting impact.

We wanted to share a few pictures of some examples of the beginning to the end of our program.
These photos are of Y, education, physical movement, group projects, and celebration.

Bridging Families On The Cancer Journey....Is a Journey like no other. That bridge will always be strong enough for an unlimited amount of families on this uncertain journey to walk on and cross over. Cancer is a disease that impacts 75% of families on this earth.. Turning that impact into it's meaning and understanding is a journey of accomplishment and impact.

Hey FB Fam:

Time really passes us by without waiting on anyone. We are days away from our 4th Annual Cancer Summit. Some members of our team spent yesterday evening stuffing the swag bags.
We are so thankful for the organizations that donated their materials. We received lots of medical related resources. We will also have 22 vendors in the building.

We have a few general admission tickets available. If you are not able to make the event, please consider making a donation to our cause.

Thank you Bui and the Westgate CRA for sponsoring our swag bags for the 3rd year.
Eileen A McAfeeValerie Minnis Piper@TeneseSproull and our volunteer student Kayla. Kayla has been volunteering with TPQF since middle school, and she continues to volunteer.

Thank you Extraordinary Charities(Home of The Pink Queen Foundation) for allowing us to use their multipurpose room anytime we need and when it’s available.
