Dedicated to raising funds to support the unfunded patient programs & services offered by Trustbridge Our combination has strengthened our services.

We are pleased to let you know that Hospice of Palm Beach County and Broward County and Hospice by the Sea are now serving the community together continuing their 40-year history as one. As a result of the combination, we have expanded the programs we offer to patients and families that go beyond the traditional hospice benefit. These programs include: music therapy, charitable care, extraordinary

comfort measures, pet therapy adult and children's bereavement services, and children's bereavement camps for the community. All of these programs are funded by the generosity of our donors and provide the best possible care. With the Foundation's support, we are among only 4% of hospices nationwide with open access, offering radiation, chemotherapy and other non-curative treatments to patients who can benefit from these procedures. It enables us to build upon our shared vision, innovative care and decades of expertise. We are proud of our history and look forward to our future together!

Congratulations to Dr. Javier Zaglul and Dr. Jorge Ahues, the newest graduates of the Trustbridge Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship and MSW Fellowship programs.

These programs are a unique investment in the future of hospice and palliative care in Palm Beach and Broward counties. Through advanced training, mentorship and real-world experience, fellows gain the skills needed to support patients and families through life's most challenging moments.

This milestone was celebrated alongside the colleagues and mentors who help make these programs so meaningful and impactful.

Donor support helps make this work possible, ensuring future generations of physicians and social workers are prepared to provide the compassionate care our communities deserve.

Did you know Empath Health operates 13 not-for-profit resale store locations across Florida?

This year, we're especially excited to welcome Trustbridge Treasures in Fort Lauderdale, bringing our resale store presence into Broward County and growing Empath Health's resale store network to 13 locations across the state.

In Palm Beach and Broward counties, Trustbridge Hospice Resale Shops and Trustbridge Treasures help turn donated items into treasures that give back, supporting care for local communities through programs such as physician and social work fellowships that help prepare the next generation of hospice and palliative care professionals.

Every purchase, donation and volunteer hour helps make a difference for patients and families throughout our region.

There’s something powerful about gathering around a table, especially during difficult times.

Recently, Trustbridge Foundation staff and volunteers had the privilege of hosting dinner for families staying at Quantum House in West Palm Beach. Together, we shared a delicious buffet-style Chinese meal prepared by Trustbridge Café chefs Ceasar Padron and Dwain Byrd, bringing 60 family members and staff together for an evening of connection, comfort and community.

We’re grateful to Quantum House for providing families with a welcoming home and a place of support while their children receive medical care. Thank you for the important work you do to help families feel a little more at home when they need it most.

Research doesn't stay in the classroom, it changes the care patients and families receive every day.

The 2026 graduates of the Trustbridge Physician Fellowship Program, Dr. Javier Zaglul and Dr. Jorge Ahues, recently shared their research with Empath physicians, administrators, and the Trustbridge Foundation, highlighting how fellowship-supported research is advancing the future of hospice and palliative medicine.

Dr. Zaglul explored the role of AI in healthcare, emphasizing that while technology can be a valuable tool, compassionate human oversight must remain at the center of patient care. Dr. Ahues studied the use of standardized hospice educational materials during early patient conversations and the role they play in helping patients and families make more informed decisions during life's most important moments.

Research is one of the ways fellowship programs drive innovation, and thanks to the generosity of our supporters and community partners, tomorrow's hospice leaders are advancing care that is both smarter and more compassionate.

Thank you to the incredible students of Wellington High School's Key Club and the Little Hugs Foundation for making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

After choosing Trustbridge for their service project and learning more about how pediatric hospice care brings comfort and support to children and their loved ones, the students generously donated 60 stuffed animals for our youngest patients.

These thoughtful gifts will provide comfort, companionship, and moments of joy when they are needed most.
