A customer walks in with an idea and has AI make a sketch. But AI cannot make the idea, people still have to build it.
So our staff helps by showing people how all the “trash” we receive in can be used to create what you see here. Sketch by AI, manpower by 2 ambitious young ladies (they are creating this event for kids in the community) and Resource Depot for the supplies. From the lions mane (yarn) paint, ivy and cardboard sheets and tubing to gallon jugs of half used Elmers Glue that was donated. And Viola (plus many hours) you create a jungle.

Join us Saturday, August 29th from 10am to 2pm for a day of printmaking, collage, and paper-based art. You'll leave with an armful of handmade projects and new skills to keep the maker in you inspired, all made from materials you'll find right here at Resource Depot.

General Admission is $40 (Youth 10 and under, $20) and includes access to all first-floor maker stations.

Reimagine a discarded book by transforming its pages into a layered personal journal using collage, drawing, and mixed-media interventions.

Lisa Cox is a lifelong crafter whose practice spans fiber arts, paper arts, altered books, mail art, collage, and Gelli plate printing — a nurse practitioner by day who loves sharing her love of creativity with others.

Create striking sun prints on reclaimed fabric using cyanotype chemistry and found natural objects to build layered compositions. Each participant will produce a series of textile prints exploring light, shadow, and texture.
kioti is a South Florida poet, interdisciplinary artist, and environmental educator, and co-founder of Sea Change Collective, whose work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, and unconventional spaces.
