CONGRESSMAN MURPHY ADVOCATES FOR PILOT PROJECTS, INNOVATION AND FUNDING TO PROTECT FLORIDA BEACHES

In an effort to help coastal communities, Congressman Patrick Murphy recently sent a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to prioritize funding for beach nourishment, promote innovative solutions to prevent beach erosion, and call upon permitting agencies to allow for pilot projects to be built in an effort to find more permanent solutions to stabilizing our dunes and beaches.

"Strong beaches are crucial to the safety, environment, and economic development of our country and especially to Florida's 18th District,” Congressman Murphy wrote.
