Today, we honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and is the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States finally learned they were free.
Across Palm Beach County, our community is coming together to celebrate Black history, culture, and achievement through events such as:
• Juneteenth Community Day at the Norton Museum of Art (June 20)
• Juneteenth Festival at Sara Sims Park in Boynton Beach (June 20)
• Juneteenth Redteenth Freedom Day Cultural Festival in Wellington (June 20)
• 6th Annual Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival at Meyer Amphitheater (June 21)
These celebrations offer opportunities to learn, reflect, connect, and honor the enduring legacy of freedom and unity in our community.
