Our purpose is to improve the lives of homeless animals through trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) programs, medical care for sick and injured animals, adoption services for animals eager to live indoors, and support for caretakers.

🎉🐾 Please help us wish Cathy a VERY Happy Birthday! 🎂🥳

Cathy is one of our amazing Wild Whiskers volunteers who helps care for and feed one of our community cat colonies in Boynton Beach 😻 She has such a kind heart, loves animals, and gives her time to help make life a little better for these deserving kitties.

And for her birthday, Cathy has so generously chosen Wild Whiskers as her birthday fundraiser recipient! 🥹💕

We are incredibly grateful for her support, her dedication, and everything she does to help us continue our mission of giving community cats safer, healthier lives.

What we found on Nova’s X-rays broke my heart 😔

Three weeks ago, Nova had her painful, blind eye removed, and thankfully she has healed beautifully ❤️‍🩹 She is now waiting for her dental surgery so we can finally get this sweet girl completely out of pain.

But her X-rays showed us something I still can't get out of my head…

Nova has a BB pellet lodged inside her 😭💔

This little girl was already struggling to survive outside with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). She couldn't walk normally. She was trying to navigate life outside with her CH and visually impaired.

And someone saw this vulnerable little cat struggling… and instead of helping her—or simply leaving her alone—they shot her.

That has been such a hard thing for me to process. Maybe Nova hits me differently because my own baby Sky has CH. I look at Sky and can't imagine her trying to survive outside alone. Then I picture Nova doing exactly that, only to have a human intentionally cause her even more pain. It still brings tears to my eyes.

She is such a gentle, innocent soul. She deserved compassion. She deserved help. She deserved better 😔

But I can't erase what happened to her. All I can do is make sure she knows something completely different now.

Nova will never be hurt or ignored by a human again. She will never have to suffer or struggle alone again ❤️‍🩹

I hope every day of love, patience, compassion and care helps erase those bad memories until all she knows is what it feels like to be safe and deeply loved.

As much as this broke my heart, it gives me even more fuel to keep fighting for these animals, protecting the vulnerable and being a voice for the voiceless.

No one protected Nova then. But we will protect her now ❤️‍🩹

Zen is officially starting his wound treatments! ❤️‍🩹

I just dropped this sweet boy off with Dr.Adams and the amazing team at PGA Animal Clinic to begin Phovia light therapy for the serious wound on his neck.

Zen is a community cat who was brought in because he needed help. Unless he surprises us and decides he’s friendly and wants the indoor life, he’ll return to his community once he’s completely healed. But whether a kitty is friendly or feral, they deserve the same level of medical care ❤️

Some of you may remember Xena from last year, who also had a terrible neck wound. She received this same treatment and she healed beautifully!

Any help toward Zen’s veterinary care is so appreciated.Thank you for helping us continue showing up for the kitties who need us — friendly or feral, their lives matter 🥹❤️

Please welcome Zenith 🥹 Another tomcat who has been fighting just to survive ❤️‍🩹

A community member reached out to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control after noticing Zenith with a serious open wound around his neck. PBCACC staff made sure they were connected with Nicky, who went out and set traps.

Then came the message we were praying for: HE WENT IN 🙏🏻😭

I picked up Zen and brought him to Animal Care & Control, where he was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and, most importantly, finally received care for his painful wound ❤️‍🩹 Nicky continued following his care while he was at the shelter, checking on him and making sure he had an exit plan where he could safely continue healing.

The heartbreaking part? Zen is one of THREE tomcats I brought in within just a few days with serious neck injuries from fighting 😔

This is the reality for so many unfixed males outside. They fight over territory and breeding, suffering deep wounds that become infected, on top of illness, weather and countless other dangers — all while simply trying to survive.

This is why we are SO passionate about TNVR.

It's not “just fixing cats.” It means fewer babies born outside to suffer. Less breeding. Less fighting. Fewer horrific injuries. A better life for the cats already here ❤️

Zen hasn't shown us yet that he's friendly — but that doesn't make his life worth any less.

Kitties like him are exactly why Wild Whiskers was started. Feral or friendly, he deserves care. He deserves relief from his pain. He deserves a chance to heal.

Zen will stay safely inside with me while we treat his wound. Maybe he'll show us there's a sweet house kitty underneath that tough tomcat exterior 🥹 If he does, we'll help him find his forever home.

If he tells us he's happiest outside, once completely healed he'll return to his colony, where he has a caretaker who loves him and will continue watching over him ❤️

Thank you to PBCACC, Nicky, the community member who noticed him, and every person who supports Wild Whiskers. YOU make it possible for us to say yes when cats like Zenith need us.

Please keep Zen in your thoughts and prayers ❤️‍🩹 we’ll update you with his progress while he continues to heal.

RIP Scruffy ❤️‍🩹🌈

I was able to trap this sweet boy, along with his colony mates, to make sure everyone was fixed so there would be no more breeding and fighting.

Scruffy was the third tomcat with a neck injury I brought in within just a few days 💔 These boys live such incredibly hard lives—fighting over territory, fighting to breed, searching for food, and simply trying to survive.

We thought Scruffy’s biggest problem was his neck wound. Those wounds can be treated. We’ve done it many times.

But once they put him under anesthesia, they discovered something so much worse.

His mouth and throat were FILLED with cancer and blood 😭

They couldn’t believe he was even still eating.

That absolutely broke my heart. This little boy had been in so much pain, yet he just kept going. He kept eating. He kept surviving.

These animals endure more than we will ever fully understand. The weather. Hunger. Injuries. Illness. Fighting. Searching for somewhere safe to sleep.

They fight so hard—not to thrive, but simply to survive.

Scruffy isn’t fighting anymore 🌈

It’s never the outcome we want, but I’m grateful we trapped him when we did. He didn’t have to go back outside and continue suffering. He was able to leave this world peacefully and finally be free from pain.

Thank you so much to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control for always taking such wonderful care of these community kitties, and to Nicky for advocating for them and calling me right away when they discovered how sick Scruffy truly was. And a special thank you to his colony caretakers Eric, Quinn and Aimee for reaching out for help.

I’m so sorry life was so hard for you, sweet boy 😔

I hope wherever you are now, you’re running free with no wounds, no hunger, no fighting and no more pain.

You mattered, Scruffy. Your life mattered 🌈❤️‍🩹
