Pablo Picasso (Spanish 20th Century, 1881-1973) “Taureau aile Contemple par Quatre Enfants” an original etching on laid paper from the Vollard suite depicting four children at sea mesmerized by an infuriated winged, horned beast. Bears publisher’s watermark and Picasso’s hand signature in pencil on full margins; From an edition of 260 world wide. The Vollard suite is the name given to a group of 100 etchings created by Pablo Picasso during the years 1930-1937 for art dealer Ambroise Vollard. Picasso worked on this series during the years where fascism was spreading through Europe and Civil War errupting in Spain and many of the anxieties of this era are expressed in his Vollard’s compositions. Pablo Picasso's revolutionary vision not only reshaped mediums across the spectrum, but also transcended artistic boundaries, leaving an indelible mark on the art world—a legacy that continues to inspire and redefine the very essence of creativity ✨
