💙💛 Meet Orion 💛💙

Orion keeps getting overlooked, and we can't understand why.

He has been with us for such a long time, and while we love him dearly, what he truly deserves is a family of his own. Every day we hope someone will see how special he is and realize he's been waiting just for them.

One look at Orion and you'll notice his stunning eyes—one bright blue and one beautiful gold. He's truly one of a kind. But his uniqueness goes far beyond his appearance. Orion is a friendly, affectionate senior cat who enjoys companionship and gets along well with small dogs.

Orion is FIV+, which often scares people away, but cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care. What he needs most is a loving home where he can relax, be cherished, and spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and kindness.

Orion would do best as the only cat in the home, as he does not get along with other cats. He also prefers a quieter environment and would be happiest in a home without children.

This event shines a spotlight on some truly amazing FIV+ cats who are looking for loving homes. Unfortunately, many wonderful cats are overlooked simply because of misconceptions about FIV. We hope to change that through education, awareness, and by introducing you to some incredible felines who deserve a chance at a happy future.

FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, and happy lives, and we'll be there to answer your questions and help you learn more about what it really means to adopt an FIV+ cat.

Come meet some of our adoptable cats, learn about FIV, and help us spread the message that every cat deserves to be loved—regardless of a diagnosis. ❤️

A few days ago, we received a call from a dear friend of Adopt A Cat, Dina from Dina's Vegan Deli & Desserts. A friendly female cat had recently appeared outside her restaurant, and Dina was deeply concerned about her condition.

She sent us a video of the cat, and one look was all it took to know this sweet girl needed help immediately.

When Dina brought her to us, it was clear she was suffering. She was emaciated, weak, and missing a large patch of fur on her back. Despite everything she had endured, she remained gentle and trusting. We rushed her to our veterinarian, hoping and praying it wasn't too late.

Sadly, the news was devastating. The cat had a cancerous tumor in her abdomen and was far too weak to undergo surgery. After consulting with our veterinarian, we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully. She had already endured more pain and hardship than any cat should have to bear.

Later, we learned that she had been TNR'd nearly nine years ago. For almost a decade, she survived outdoors, facing challenges we can only imagine.

We named her Dina in honor of the woman who refused to look away when she saw an animal in need. We truly believe this sweet cat chose Dina in her final days. Out of all the places she could have gone, she found someone who cared enough to stop, to notice, and to help.

While we wish her story could have had a different ending, we take comfort in knowing that she did not die alone on the streets. She left this world surrounded by kindness, compassion, and love.

Thank you, Dina, for answering her silent plea for help. Because of you, her final chapter was not one of suffering—it was one of dignity, comfort, and care.

Run free, sweet Dina. You were loved. 🌈

While we could not change Dina's past, we were able to give her comfort, love, and peace in her final moments. There are so many more cats like her still waiting for help. Please consider donating to support our rescue efforts so that we can continue being there for the forgotten, the abandoned, and the overlooked. 😻Some of our longtime followers may remember this sweet, handsome boy, Graham ❤️

After two years in a home, Graham has found himself back with us. While we'll never quite understand how anyone could give up this sweet boy, we're simply grateful that he's safe and back in our care.

Graham has an adorable head tilt that only makes him more endearing. He spends his days following our volunteers around, looking to them for love, reassurance, and the security of a gentle touch. He has a kind soul, a loving heart, and a way of making everyone who meets him fall a little bit in love.

Being returned can be confusing for any cat, but Graham continues to greet volunteers each day with affection and trust. Now all he needs is someone who will see just how special he is and give him the forever home he deserves.

Felix is the more laid-back of the pair, happy to relax and take life as it comes. Frito, on the other hand, has boundless energy and is always ready for his next adventure, game, or zoomie session.
