Another exciting playscape element has been added to our open-to-the-public nature playscape at Pine Jog! Our youngest visitors will now be able to enjoy using small wheelbarrows to explore their natural surroundings in a whole new way. They'll be able to dig, discover, and learn about the natural world around them, all while developing their gross motor skills and imagination! Many thanks to Giovanni Herrera and his supporters from Troop 208 for selecting FAU Pine Jog as a community site to give back to for his Eagle Scout project! We're thrilled to have this amazing addition to our playscape and look forward to seeing the smiles on our young visitors' faces as they start exploring!

FAU Pine Jog's second dual enrollment program for summer 2026 is now in session! H20 to Go! Connections students are currently attending a week-long summer research institute, funded by a generous grant from REI via SOLSYSTEMS. This opportunity enables students to learn about the interconnectedness of our unique Florida ecosystems while meeting professors, researchers, practitioners, and representatives from professional agencies in related fields. We extend our thanks to REI for making this a no-cost program for all students for 2026!

We are pleased to announce the start of our 2026 Climate READY summer program, made possible by a generous grant from REI via SOLSYSTEMS. This opportunity enables all our students to participate in READY's residential program and earn dual-enrollment college credit or volunteer hours at no cost. Recently, esteemed directors David Liu and Janel McCorvey from REI's Boca and PGA sites experienced our Jupiter campus firsthand, engaging with our staff and students through student-led citizen science activities. We extend our gratitude to Jay Creech, REI's Net Zero Lead, and Adaora Ifebigh, SOLSYSTEMS' Senior Director of Community Impact, for their insightful presentations to our future leaders.

We are celebrating another incredible year partnering with The Breakers’ grounds team through their VTO (Volunteer Time Off) Program, and our property has never looked better! Due to their dedicated hard work, their amazing volunteer teams tackled a massive checklist to revitalize our outdoor spaces, including:

- Restoring walking and hiking trails.
- Cleaning up around our wetland and pond areas.
- Beautifying our interactive gardens, community spaces, and main arrival areas.
- Conducting vital property-wide cleanup.

To every volunteer who participated: thank you for your incredible work ethic, dedication, and community spirit. You have made a lasting difference that our visitors and students will enjoy for months to come!

We had a fantastic time connecting with our local community recently while tabling at the REI stores in Palm Beach Gardens and Boca Raton!

It was a wonderful opportunity to share the impactful work being done through FAU Pine Jog’s partnership with REI and Sol Systems. We loved engaging with outdoor enthusiasts to highlight our REI-sponsored H2O to Go! and Climate READY programs, while showcasing our beautiful trails and diverse community programming.

A huge thank you to our FAU administration, community leaders, educational leaders, environmental advocates, and local partners who recently brought their expertise and passion to our 2026 FAU Pine Jog Master Planning Session. Our goal is to develop and cultivate a premier, sustainable destination for our community that integrates nature, education, and innovation. The insights shared during this meeting will be the groundwork for refining our roadmap and developing this community-centered vision. Stay tuned as we continue to grow!

Our Nature Playscape is now OPEN!

We would like to thank Ethan Campbell and Troop 13 for their efforts in upgrading the musical elements in our nature playscape. We appreciate all scouts who choose to include Pine Jog on their journey to making Eagle Rank. Through Ethan's hard work and determination, we now have more lovely sounds to listen to in our forest!
