✨Today, we commemorate Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of resilience, justice, and the unyielding spirit of Black communities in the face of oppression. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
✊🏾Juneteenth isn’t just about history—it’s about legacy, progress, and continued empowerment. At The Promject, we believe in celebrating and uplifting young people, especially those from historically marginalized communities, so they know their worth, their value, and the power of their presence.
✊🏾As we help students shine on their prom night, we are also investing in their future—because freedom means access, opportunity, and joy without barriers.
