🌟Happy Juneteenth from The Promject! 🌟

✨Today, we commemorate Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of resilience, justice, and the unyielding spirit of Black communities in the face of oppression. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

✊🏾Juneteenth isn’t just about history—it’s about legacy, progress, and continued empowerment. At The Promject, we believe in celebrating and uplifting young people, especially those from historically marginalized communities, so they know their worth, their value, and the power of their presence.

✊🏾As we help students shine on their prom night, we are also investing in their future—because freedom means access, opportunity, and joy without barriers.

✨Let’s continue to educate, elevate, and empower.

We are beyond proud to celebrate our very own Founder and President, Shyleice Watson, who is not only the visionary behind The Promject, Inc., but also an alumna of New Leaders Council Palm Beach (NLC)!

During her time in the NLC leadership program, Shyleice turned her capstone project into something truly transformational — The Promject, Inc. What started as an idea became a full-fledged nonprofit dedicated to giving high school students in Palm Beach County The Ultimate Prom Experience — completely free of charge.

From prom tickets and dresses to suits, nails, haircuts, and more, The Promject lifts the financial burden and replaces it with joy, confidence, and unforgettable memories.

Join us in recognizing and shouting out Shyleice, who is a bold, compassionate, and unstoppable leader who’s changing lives and creating magic — one prom at a time.

We love you, Shyleice! Thank you for being the heart behind this mission.

📅 Countdown to 10 Years of NLC Palm Beach 🥂👏 Shout-out to alumni Shyleice Watson! She brought her capstone project to fruition by starting her non-profit, The Promject, Inc., which serves high school students in Palm Beach County

🎄 WE DIT IT! 🎄

Our 1st Annual School Supply ReUp was a success! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙🩷

This holiday season, The Promject was truly honored to partner with the Marjorie S. Fisher Boys and Girls Club for their amazing Holiday Giveaway for their club members! Watching their unwavering dedication to spreading joy and hope to their club members, many from underserved communities, was an inspiring reminder of the power of giving back.🎄

As part of this heartwarming event, we hosted our 1st Annual School Supply Re-Up, providing over 100 students with essential school supplies to help them finish the school year strong and it was a success! With the holidays often stretching family budgets thin, we were proud to step in and ensure these students could start the last half of school prepared and confident.✏️📚

The day was filled with unforgettable moments:
🎅🏾 Photos with Santa—and yes, even our Founder Shyleice Watson and Board Member Brieana Salter couldn’t resist capturing the magic with Santa!
🎁 Holiday toys generously provided by the Boys and Girls Club
📚 School supplies from The Promject, giving students the tools they need to succeed

We extend our deepest gratitude to Club Director Miles Davis and the phenomenal Boys and Girls Club team for welcoming us and creating a space where students and families felt truly supported. Your mission to serve where it’s needed most aligns beautifully with our goal of empowering communities.✨🎅🏾

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of our supporters and donors who helped make this possible! Whether you donated supplies, money, or your time, your generosity ensured we could make a difference in these students’ lives. 🥳

Being apart of this event wasn’t just an honor—it was a chance to witness the joy and impact we can create when we come together. One backpack, one toy, one smile at a time, we’re helping to build brighter futures and lasting memories for the students who need it most. 🎁✨🎄

Happy Holidays!!! 🎉🎄🎅🏾✨
