Creating habitat on managed lands is key to supporting pollinators, and roadsides throughout north America add up to millions of miles of potential habitat. Managing these corridors with pollinators in mind can benefit bees, butterflies, and other wildlife, as well as the road networks themselves.

Join the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) for this free upcoming webinar to learn about the ins and outs of managing pollinator habitat on transportation lands. Cassondra Cruikshank from the KYTC will provide an overview of the ecological and economic reasons to create and manage pollinator habitat along roadsides, practical ways to build internal buy in for habitat work, and information on regulatory requirements and funding sources. She will also present case studies from the work the KYTC has done to support pollinators.

Looking for volunteers in Delray Beach! 🏝️

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation on Saturday, February 15th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for an exciting day removing nonnative plants from Orchard View Park. We look forward to another wonderful volunteer day where we will remove nonnative plants that have been overtaking the natural area. Join us for 3 hours on a Saturday morning ☀️ and feel good that you'll be helping us restore our local park natural area! Bring yourself, a friend, and some enthusiasm! We have all the equipment you'll need and there is no experience necessary. This is also a great way to receive service hours if needed!

Please bring a water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and wear closed-toe shoes.

To volunteer sign up on our Events page at regionalconservation.org. A confirmation email containing all the event details will be sent to all registered participants on the day prior to the event.
