Mental health stigma is real. Actor Robert Carradine—best known for his roles in "Revenge of the Nerds" and Disney’s "Lizzie McGuire"—struggled with severe mental illness for two decades. His family and medical records revealed that he suffered from bipolar disorder, severe depression, and anxiety.

Robert sought help just one day before his tragic death by su***de earlier this year.

💚FLMHAC offers support and prayers to Robert's entire family during this difficult time. 💚

If you or someone you know is in crisis, support is available 24/7. You can reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Talking about anxiety, depression, stress, or trauma should feel just as normal as talking about physical health.

Timely access to appropriate treatment options is an important factor in supporting people living with serious mental illness. Florida’s policymakers have taken steps to expand access to treatments, helping to support continuity of care. Let’s continue working to remove barriers and build a mental health system that meets patients’ needs.

💚 Mental Health Matters 💚

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Rest, boundaries, movement, hydration, therapy, connection — it all counts as self-care.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, give yourself permission to pause and recharge.
