Since the theme of the week is diving, we had to feature two of our sea turtles that were released last fall. So, what do you think? Did Hope (blue STR watermark in photo) or Haymitch (orange STR watermark in photo) have the best dive photo?

Miles wasted no time tucking into the waves during the first release of the summer! Due to cold NJ water temperatures, Miles had to be released in Georgia. We are sure this juvenile Kemp's Ridley is enjoying the crabs off of Georgia's coast, and our staff is enjoying the peach salsa that we stopped to get before returning home!☺ Enjoy the summer waves Miles!

Sea Turtle Recovery is celebrating this Earth Day weekend at the ACUA festival and always inside the Turtle Back Zoo! We are so grateful for the ESA Amendment Act being pulled from the house floor due to your opposition, and we are thrilled to have our 15 current patients growing stronger. So much to celebrate! Happy Earth Day Weekend!

It was an air, land, and sea release! Sea Turtle Recovery is happy to report that 6 of our 21 patients received the "all clear" from Dr. Paluch. With water temperatures still too cold in New Jersey, STR had to plan a trip to Georgia to get them home. Thankfully, Pilots to the Rescue offered for us to skip the long drive and get there in half the time! We were then able to meet the amazing team from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on the beach for a great release!
