Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Northern NJ Family Care Housing Supports Program Summit. It was an impactful morning of learning, collaboration, and meaningful conversation with housing support providers and partners from across the region.

Together, we shared updates on the NJ Family Care Housing Supports Program, exchanged best practices, and strengthened connections that help ensure families receive the coordinated housing and health supports they need to thrive.

We are grateful to all presenters, attendees, and partners who contributed their time, expertise, and commitment to advancing health equity and supportive housing across Northern New Jersey. This work is stronger when we do it together.

We bring together hospitals, state agencies, community partners, and residents to strengthen public health systems and create solutions that meet the real needs of Greater Newark's families.

Through data-driven strategies, community engagement, and coordinated action, GNHCC helps improve access to care, advance health equity, and support initiatives that lead to healthier, thriving neighborhoods.

It’s truly okay to not be okay, and no one should have to navigate that alone.
In many communities, especially underserved neighborhoods, stigma, cost, lack of information, and limited access to providers make it harder for people to reach out when they’re struggling. This creates gaps in care at the exact moments when support is needed most.

GNHCC is working to close those gaps by connecting residents to trusted mental health resources, helping families understand their options, and partnering with local providers to make support more accessible. Whether it’s finding counseling, navigating coverage, or getting connected to community programs, we’re here to help ensure that care is within reach for everyone.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
