WOHS Sports Media We put the “W” in West Orange The WOHSSMA Network includes 25+ sports teams and hundreds of current and former students reaching 50,000+ unique users monthly.

The West Orange High School Sports Media Association (WOHSSMA) seeks to connect the West Orange community with the award-winning West Orange High School sports athletics program through a variety of activities, events, content series, and more. The WOHSSMA was established in 2022 by Zachary Perincheril (‘22) & Mason Bashkoff (‘23) and is made up of 9th-12th grade students at West Orange High Schoo

l who share a passion for sports, business, marketing, content creation, and a love of their West Orange community. Since its inception, they’ve established one of the most engaging social media presences in the district () highlighting season previews, student accomplishments, team championships, coach profiles and behind-the-scenes videos from the student-run ‘Media Days’ conceptualized and executed by the association. The WOHSSMA YouTube channel is home to highlights and live streams of some of our most engaging competitions and celebrations generating 5,000+ hours of viewership to date. The WOHSSMA website hosts full sports schedules, articles, interviews, and more and currently ranks #1 in New Jersey and Top 50 in the U.S. amongst all RSchool powered sites.

West Orange Flag Football quarterback Elianna Denis ('27) just surpassed 5,000 career passing yards, including more than 2,000 this season, leading the Mountaineers to their second straight SFC American White Division championship.

And the wild part? Flag football is just one chapter. Denis is also a major piece of a West Orange Girls Basketball program that captured back-to-back sectional state championships.

Elite is elite.

West Orange Flag Football ranked #5 in New Jersey

The West Orange Flag Football team is off to a perfect 6-0 start and now ranked #5 in New Jersey. Six games, six wins, and only 6 points allowed all season.

Led by Head Coach Andrew Mazurek, this group is setting the tone on both sides of the ball. Stats leaders include Olivia Masse (’27) with 423 receiving yards, Elianna Denis (’26) with 1,121 passing yards, and Shanise Barrino (’26) with 385 rushing yards powering the offense.
