🔥 SUMMER DAYS START TOMORROW 🔥

The wait is over.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of Groundwork Wrestling Club Summer Days, and we’re locked in and ready to go.

For the first time this summer, Coach Brown and Coach Justin Staudenmayer will be leading the room together—bringing two different coaching perspectives, two elite wrestling minds, and one shared goal:

Make every wrestler better.

This isn’t daycare.

This isn’t random drilling.

This is intentional wrestling development built around the skills that win matches.

Every session includes:

✔️ High-level technical instruction
✔️ Position-specific wrestling
✔️ Hand fighting & scoring systems
✔️ Live wrestling
✔️ Situational training
✔️ Conditioning
✔️ Individual coaching and feedback

The biggest improvements of the year happen during the summer.

While others take time off, serious wrestlers build the skills, confidence, conditioning, and mat awareness that separate them when the season starts.

Athletes planning to attend select days are encouraged to use the drop-in option. Full Summer Days registrations will be prorated based on enrollment date.

Hey everyone,
This is Coach Evans wanted to let everyone know what the Summer schedule is going to look like.
RETURNING WRESTLERS and Incoming Freshman, You need to get to these practices if you really want a shot at breaking into the High School lineup.
From June 15th to August 22nd we will be training
Mon, Tue, and Thur from 9am- Noon with Groundworks. Coach Konte has already started our strength and conditioning program. You should all be involved. Below is the link to register for Groundworks, there is no charge for Norristown Wrestlers, but you all need to register. They're is also a QR code so you can get join the conditioning group.

Bella went 2-2 today, placing 5th and falling a round short of qualifying for the state tournament. Although she didn’t advance, she is the 1st alternate if any of the top 4 cannot compete.

Regardless, Bella has set enough milestones this year to call this season a success:
- 1st Girls Conference Champion in SCHOOL HISTORY
- 1st Girls District medalist in SCHOOL HISTORY
- 1st Girls Regional Medalist in SCHOOL HISTORY

And she comes back next year.

After only having 1 regional qualifier last year, we came back this year with 5 boys punching their tickets to the regional tournament in Oxford next weekend.

That gives Town Wrestling a total of 6 regional qualifiers this year (boys/girls). All but 1 (Coey) will be returning next year!

On Thursday, the “Teddy Bridgewater Act” (CS/CS/SB 178) was passed unanimously in Florida, authorizing K–12 head coaches to contribute up to $15,000 per year from their own funds to benefit student-athletes.

Teddy Bridgewater was suspended from his alma mater, Northwestern (Miami) High School, in 2025 after admitting to covering food and transportation costs for his players, which were ruled as impermissible benefits.
