Myrtle Baptist Church Our history as a church points to the ethic of radical love that Jesus espoused

At Myrtle Baptist Church, the Church where Love Abides, we endeavor to encourage and support, without judgment or fear, all who wish to join with us in their walk with Christ. Myrtle Baptist Church of West Newton, founded by freed slaves in 1874, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008 and exists as one of the oldest black churches in New England.

As we prepare to "Pack the Pews" on Sunday, October 4th, please be sure to invite your family and friends to join us. We want to fill the pews and invite our guests to a cookout immediately after the worship service. Join the Deacons and Youth Ministry for food and a Bouncy House! Bring a few dollars and support the Angel in Me by purchasing lemonade and dessert! We look forward to seeing everyone there for lots of fun, food and fellowship!
