Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch the Artemis II reentry from our Huntsville Operations Support Center. I can’t tell you the awe that I’m am still feeling over my fellow colleagues that have put everything into this mission. We watched with bated breath as we waitedmni for s communications to return from the crew during the 6 minute comm blackout and we cheered as soon as we saw those parachutes deploy. Tracking the crew, watching the vehicle and seeing the speed at which they were coming in, it’s nothing that all the Apollo tales can prepare you for. I’m proud of the entire Artemis team for a textbook mission ex*****on and can’t wait to see the science results from all the data the crew has collected! I’m forever thankful for these core memories with my NASA family. 🌖 🚀 ♥️

The Alumni Association is saddened by the passing of Class of 97's Caridad Cruz. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. On a personal note, Cary was one of "my kids" who came through the WNY Rec. program while I was a Supervisor there. She was a burst of sunshine on the rainiest of days, and she was one of the funniest kids I got to know and love. Ty for all the joy you brought to me and all the others at Rec. May God hold you in the hollow of His hand and grant you eternal peace my sweet one.🙏💔❤️
