Happy Birthday, Joamelly!
The Lupus Y Latinos Foundation was founded in memory of Joamelly Arteaga. Today, August 8th, she would have been 36 years old. Unfortunately, she succumbed to Lupus in 2012 at the young age of 22. Let's all come together and celebrate Joamelly's birthday by raising awareness of this cruel disease that disproportionately affects young women, minorities, and especially the poor.

for even just a little while...
So we could say Happy Birthday and see your loving smile...
We would rather have had you and lost you
Then to never have had you at all
May your beautiful soul be eternally shining in the magical splendor of Heaven Happy Birthday sweet Angel.
