WHAT'S HAPPENING IN HONDURAS
Honduras has recently suffered the most damages, most deaths, and has experienced extreme flooding. The storms have destroyed homes, schools, and health clinics, leaving thousands of Hondurans homeless.
We have chosen to donate to Honduras as our first project of 2021 because of the disastrous effects of Hurricane Eta and Iota. As latinas ourselves, we are heartbroken by the tragic events in Honduras and feel a responsibility to help our fellow latinos. The Latino/Hispanic community is a hardworking and loving family who must lean on each other during hard times and lift each other up.
We truly would not be able to make this donation without your help. You have proven to us that there is still compassion and empathy, even in the troubling times of 2020. We keep the women, girls, and menstruators of Honduras in our minds and our hearts as we see these events unfold.
Here’s to a brighter 2021 and a stronger Honduras.
