Today, our family bids farewell to our Father, Chester Thicklin. As the last elder in the Thicklin family, his passing marks the end of an era. His strength, wisdom, and love will forever be cherished. We laid him to rest in the military cemetery, honoring his service and sacrifice. The ceremony was a poignant reminder of his legacy and his impact on us all. Rest in peace, Dad. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the memories and values you instilled in us. 🙏🕊

Today, we honor the memory of my beloved father, Chester Thicklin, who passed away on January 27,2024. Dad was a man of many passions, but his love for Jazz was unparalleled. He would often fill our home with the smooth sounds of Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five,” and I can still picture him closing his eyes and tapping his foot to the beat. His love for music lives on in all of us, and I know he’s now dancing to his favorite tunes in heaven. We miss you, Dad. Your legacy will forever be cherished. 🎶❤️

“Nashville itinerary!”
🍹🍴 Just had the most amazing time at Uncle Nearest bar and restaurant, Humble Baron, with my awesome friends Al, Joye Eady, Dwight, and Darleen Beard! 🥂 The food was out of this world, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was friendly and exciting. 😍

One of the highlights of our visit was the 518-foot long showpiece bar that elegantly wraps around an indoor stage. 🎉 This unique setup allowed us to enjoy delicious cuisine and sip on creative cocktails while being entertained. 🍹🎶

What truly sets Humble Baron apart is their commitment to feature Black-owned spirits companies alongside the incredible Uncle Nearest label. 🖤 It's refreshing to see a place that appreciates and promotes diversity in the industry. 💯 And let me tell you, the bar itself is a visual marvel, spanning an impressive 525 feet! 😲
