It was a pleasure to serve our children and families at the Back-to-School Bash! There were family resources, including backpacks with supplies, agency resources, a Family and Community Engagement Workshop, a gaming room, fun indoor activities for children, and delicious food.

Thank you to our partner Rashawn Pleasant, Auburn University corner back and former West Monroe High School running back for the backpack giveaway, Turning Pages of NELA for the Family and Community Engagement Workshop, Gaming Membrane for the Gaming Event, West Monroe PD Community Police and their C.E.R.T Team for grilling and serving and the indoor children activities, and Detective Justin Cummings for speaking with our parents about Internet Dangers, West Monroe HS Survivors for volunteering and agencies NOVA, INK, Children’s Coalition Early Head, and American Red Cross!

Please note: A child must be present to receive a backpack.🎒

Families with children in 1st through 6th grade are also invited to participate in a Family Engagement Workshop and Gaming Event from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., hosted by Turning Pages of NELA and Membrane Gaming. Participants will enjoy refreshments and opportunities to win door prizes.
