How does a better future begin?

For years, Gideon made a living "hawking" goods along the streets. It was hard work, and each day depended on what he could carry and sell. But after joining a savings group and faithfully saving small amounts for a year, he was able to buy a used wheelbarrow, allowing him to transport more goods and serve more customers. He also rented a small temporary place to sell from and is now working toward the next step: a permanent shop of his own.

Sometimes progress is not dramatic or fast, just one small step after another, quietly opening the door for lasting change.

Work: is it good or bad?

Work has dignity and honor when we use the abilities and skills God has given us to serve Him and to bless others through our labor. - Family Finance Curriculum, Lesson 6: "How Should God’s Children Think About Work?"

Gregorio, president of the Wé Kane´li (Very Content) ASCA savings group, has grown his grocery store inventory with the help of low‑interest loans from his group.
His store’s success helps sustain his family, strengthens the group’s shared savings through the interest it generates, and, as he testifies, “ It’s an opportunity to be generous and serve others in my community .”

What if we viewed our family expenses as eternal investments?

"Paying family costs is not just a duty. It is also an opportunity. When we provide for our families, we are making eternal investments as God's stewards. We are imitating God, our heavenly Father, who gives gifts to his children. And we are imitating Jesus, our heavenly Bridegroom, who gives himself for his bride."

— Excerpt from our Family Finance curriculum, Lesson 4: "How should we care for our families?"

We’re celebrating with these women today as they graduate from this tailoring training program!

This partner program in India is about more than just learning a trade; it also functions as a savings group. Many of our graduates use the money they've saved during the program to buy their own sewing machines and start their own businesses. By combining new skills with the principles of community and biblical stewardship, these women are building a more sustainable future.

How healthy is your relationship with material resources?

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus challenged people to adopt a godly attitude toward their possessions. He gently counseled brothers quarreling over inheritance rights, exposed the rich young ruler’s idolizing of wealth, rebuked the Pharisees for manipulating the law to exploit the poor, and praised Zacchaeus for his transformed stewardship practices after conversion.

The "Family Finance" curriculum challenges savings groups through Jesus’ parables and stories in Luke 12, 16, 18, and 19, showing what a healthy mindset of stewardship of God’s resources is—and what it is not.

Join us in celebrating with Triza!
The rewards of five years of faithfully saving, applying biblical teaching, and buying a goat each year, have provided the necessary funds to reach the incredible milestone of sending her child to secondary school.
Though he is the fourth born, he is the first in the family to have this opportunity, opening the door for a brighter future.
