At Uplifting Women, we are always looking for ways to bring comfort when it’s needed most 🤍
We’re excited to share a new project we’re launching to support those undergoing chemotherapy.
Many chemo treatments cause something called dysgeusia which is a change in taste where food suddenly tastes metallic, bitter, or just… off. This happens because chemotherapy can damage taste buds, alter taste receptors, and even leave traces of medication in saliva, changing how the brain interprets flavor.
For so many patients, this means meals become something they dread instead of enjoy and that impacts not just nutrition, but comfort, connection, and quality of life.
These pans are specially designed to help reduce that metallic taste bringing food back to something that feels normal again. A small shift… that can make a big difference.
✨ That’s where this project comes in.
Due to the overwhelming success of our Ladies Night Out fundraising event & the generosity of Le Creuset, we were able to purchase 10 of these pans that will go to ladies in our community who are fighting cancer or caring for someone who is.
Because sometimes healing isn’t just about treatment, it’s about making the hard moments just a little bit easier.
If you’d like to support this initiative, donate, or nominate someone who could benefit, please stay tuned 🤍
