🛑🛑PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE OUR CHURCH!
This is an ongoing problem with our ministry and other ministries in our community, so I would like to take a few seconds to address it.
When someone chooses to do this they are NOT blessing the ministry or community. They are creating extra work for the volunteers! Many times donations that are left outside at the doors include many items that we do not even have a need for, therefore we have to spend time and energy figuring out what to do with this stuff. Also, often times there is stuff that just needs to go to the garbage! I’m sorry, but we really don’t want anyone’s trash. 🤣
(Side note, there are plenty of places across the bridge that have paid workers that will happily take any donation items and have the man power and time to sift through everything and many of them even have drop off spots)
Here are some HELPFUL FACTS about our ministry.
đź‘• We only accept CERTAIN ITEMS because our ministry is specifically geared towards children & teens that are school aged.
đź‘šWe only accept GENTLY USED ITEMS because we want every child to receive nice clothing that makes them feel cared for and special.
📆Donations are accepted by appointment only. Please contact us through Messenger or if you know one of us personally to set up a time to receive your donation.
đź©łđź‘źThese are the items we need and accept, new or gently used:
♥️ Baby, Children & Teen clothing that’s appropriate for everyday wear and school.
♥️Tennis shoes & sneakers
♥️Baby equipment in excellent condition (high chairs, crib, pack & play, not expired car seats)
Things we do not accept or need:
Housewares, decor, speciality clothing (formals, suits, dressy clothing, dress shoes), used socks or underwear, swimsuits, adult clothing (unless something a teenager would wear), furniture, toys, anything that is stained, dirty, torn or has unpleasant odor!
This is not meant to come across as ungrateful or rude, but it needs to be said. We are extremely thankful to those that give to help meet the needs of our community! ♥️
