Good Neighbor-Love Center Prepare food bags for low income families, when funds available utility assistance is provided. It became the official food relief hub for the storm's victims.

The Love Center began in West Memphis, Arkansas on November 1, 1983, as a food and clothes pantry. The big tornado, flood and snowstorms of December 1987 brought national recognition to the Love Center. The Love Center became the Good Neighbor/Love Center, Inc (GN/LC) in July 1988 under the direction of Mayor Keith Ingram and his appointed task force. It has grown steadily in its services and facilities since that time. Crittenden County has a population of over 50,000 with over 28,000 of them residing in West Memphis. Almost 25.3% of these residents (13,000) are at or below the poverty level guidelines. This area experiences the same problems that are common in most urban communities. The GN/LC is committed to addressing these problems through direct program assistance or in support for other Community Based Organizations. The GN/LC works closely with the Department of Human Services, local churches, and other non-profits and civic organizations. The GN/LC also networks with various agencies and non-profits in the Crittenden County on a continuing basis serving to bridge the gap and assist whenever and wherever possible.

‼️The Good Neighbor Center is committed to serving the citizens of West Memphis. While we strive to assist as many individuals and families as possible, we recognize that we may not always be able to meet every need.

All food distributions are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly ask everyone to remain patient and respectful during the process, as our staff and volunteers generously give their time to serve the community.

Please note that during food distribution, our limited staff is focused on assisting clients. As a result, we may not be able to respond to Facebook Messenger messages or answer all phone calls in real time.

For the safety of everyone involved, we ask all visitors to follow traffic laws and treat our staff and volunteers with respect. Failure to do so may impact our ability to continue food giveaways at the current level.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to serve our community.
