Friends of Martha Washington Martha Washington is considered to be the first First Lady of the United States. During her lifetime she was often referred to as "Lady Washington."

Martha supports General Brown's Health Alliance, a coalition dedicated to improving access to person centered health care and research. We take our inspiration from Physician General William Brown, MD who created the first American pharmacopeia while serving under General Washington in the Continental Army. Office hours are by appointment.

Introducing "Revolutionary Hope," a video about General George Washington, the Revolutionary War, and Physician General William Brown, MD. On Presidents Day we remember George Washington’s bold actions which saved the American Revolution. Interestingly, one important bold war decision he made was medical. He decided to inoculate the Continental Army to provide immunity to smallpox.
