Plants for Peace

Plants for Peace Plants for Peace is a non-profit, non-sectarian educational organization that is open to all. The programs are always free and open to the public.

Plants for Peace meets three times a semester, with the events always scheduled on Sundays. Meetings offer a share-a-dish vegan potluck followed by a lecture, workshop, film screening, or forum related to our educational mission. Our programs feature distinguished nutrition experts, health-care professionals, creative vegetarian cooks, discussion forums on ethical issues, book reviews, and films.

Plants for Peace welcomes everyone - vegans, vegetarians, and those who are interested in learning about veganism/vegetarianism by sharing in the group's activities and in supporting the objectives and philosophy of Plants for Peace. Plants for Peace Rules for Share-A-Dish Meals:
All dishes must be completely vegan. They may not contain any meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, or honey. Gelatin is a meat by-product. Please watch out for hidden dairy products, such as whey and casein or caseinate. Please prepare a 4Γ—6 card with the name of the dish and all ingredients. Prepare enough to serve a sufficient sample for at least 8 people [basically, bring enough for a complete meal for two people if that's all they ate, not that they would]. Please bring your own serving dishes and utensils, as well as your own dishes to eat from.
