Budget pressures are real — but so is the research.
Nationwide studies and WLWV’s own data show that once a primary school grows beyond 400 students, student outcomes decline. Schools in the 300–400 student “sweet spot” consistently see:
✅ Stronger academic performance
✅ Better student attitudes toward school
✅ More connected student–teacher relationships
✅ A greater sense of belonging
✅ Higher teacher satisfaction
By gently rebalancing enrollment for new and incoming students — and opening Frog Pond Primary this fall — every WLWV primary school can stay in that sweet spot where students thrive.
