It’s that time of year again!

For the upcoming winter storm:

❄️Use off street parking when it is available. This will allow our plow drivers to more easily clear the streets. If you must use on street parking, please park as close to the curb as possible to give plow trucks the maximum amount of space to work.

❄️Do Not shovel or blow snow onto the streets. It is hazardous for drivers and creates even more work for our plow drivers. It is also illegal.

❄️Try to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary. Roads will not be bare during the event given the amount of snow coming down.

❄️If you must travel, remember not to crowd the plow. Leave plenty of space between you and any plow trucks you see.

❄️Given the amount of predicted snowfall, roads may not be completely opened up even after the storm has finished. Give our plow drivers time to get streets cleared.

❄️If you live near a fire hydrant, please try to shovel it out. This helps our firefighters with their response to any emergencies.

❄️Remember to be kind. We're all in this together.

Please stay off roadways unless your travel cannot be avoided during the upcoming storm. PennDOT and Allegheny Township Road Department's jobs will be safer and easier if they do not have to deal with traffic or disabled and/or stuck vehicles.
