Week 15 Recap:

Commander’s Call – This week marked our final event of the semester: Commander’s Call. We recognized the cadets who went above and beyond, celebrated their outstanding efforts, reflected on our semester’s accomplishments as a detachment, and officially passed the chain of command to our incoming Cadet Wing Commander. We also honored our graduating seniors and celebrated the announcement of AFSCs!

It was a memorable and meaningful way to wrap up the semester, and a proud moment to reflect on all that our cadets have achieved over the past 15 weeks. What an incredible semester, Det 220. Best of luck on finals, finish strong!

Week 14 Recap:

PT - this week was our final PT in which the cadets participated in what we call Warrior PT. This includes various fun, friendly competitions such as tug of war, weighted litter carry, pull ups, and weighted bench press. This was a great way to have some fun while also getting in a good workout!

Final LLAB - our final LLAB included opening and closing ceremonies, open ranks inspections, flight drill evaluations, and a final quiz. The cadets showcased their skills that they have been fine tuning all semester in their final evaluation this past Thursday. Final LLAB is a rewarding way to see how far all the cadets have come! Additionally, a big congratulations to all the cadets that contracted on Thursday.

Fantastic week everyone, keep pushing on towards finals!

Week 13 Recap:

PT - on Monday and Wednesday Det 220 took the physical fitness assessment which consists of 1 minute of push ups, 1 minute of sit ups, and a timed 1.5 mile run. The cadets have been training and preparing for this all semester and really exemplified excellence in all we do.

Dining Out - we had our annual Dining Out ceremony which was a lot of fun and a great way for everyone to get together and have a great time while also learning lots from our distinguished speaker General Drew. A special thanks to the team that made this all happen. What a great end to the week!

As always, amazing job, Det 220!!

Week 12 Recap:

This week, we carried out our detachment-wide exercise, Operation Hammer Down. The event featured a series of mission-based scenarios designed to challenge cadets both as unified teams and as opposing forces. Throughout the exercise, cadets demonstrated strategic thinking, effective teamwork, and mission-critical skills in high-pressure environments. Their determination and perseverance were on full display as they devoted their Saturday to applying the concepts and techniques they’ve been practicing all semester.

Excellent work, Det 220, keep striving for excellence!!

Weeks 10 & 11 Recap:

Week 10 was spring break and the cadets enjoyed a nice and relaxing week to take a break from the grind.

PT - Monday and Wednesday workouts included rigorous exercises to get us back on track after spring break to prepare for the upcoming PFA.

LLAB - On Thursday, the entire wing was briefed on Operation Hammer Down which takes place next week. This detachment wide exercise will allow the cadets to practice leadership and followership in mission driven scenarios.

LCC - the Low Challenge Course is an outdoor obstacle course in which the BC squadron practiced critical thinking skills and teamwork, further developing their leadership and followership.

Great week back from the break. Keep pushing forward, Det 220!
