It's that time of the year where we share our student highlights! Student highlights showcase the awesome things our students are experiencing and achieving! Our students obtain eclectic opportunities at Purdue University and we share them to celebrate our students and to inspire their peers to get involved! Let's begin with Halbert!
Student: Halbert
Major: Construction Management
Year: Junior
"As I was deciding on what to do for my summer, I was given the opportunity to get out of state and explore or stick to my regular routine here. So I took the risk and decided to set out on a journey to Phoenix, Arizona. There I started an internship all alone and it was such a surreal feeling. There's nothing I would change about my summer, I got to experience and see new things some only speak about. I really got to experience what it felt like to be an adult out by yourself. It's all thanks to all the adult figures I have in my life guiding me and telling me that exploring whilst young is the best thing that anyone could ever do. Through all this I realized no matter the distance your loved ones will always find a way to come and visit and for me that made my entire summer."
