Next Stop, Wisconsin!

Who are the innovative, conservation-minded farmers and ranchers leading the way in Wisconsin? Where are the must-see stops for our landmark 20th annual Conservation in Action Tour?

Share your story, or nominate a farmer you know, and be considered as a potential farm stop host, speaker, or behind-the-scenes industry tour for America’s Premier On-Farm Experience.

We’re seeking host farms, producer speakers, and regional partners who are leading by example. Ideal host sites offer field access, compelling conservation agriculture practices or systems, and engagement with peers and national stakeholders.

We are also seeking speakers to share an interactive demonstration or story from their experiences with conservation agriculture in Wisconsin, as well as partners who can provide a behind-the-scenes look at various sectors of the agriculture supply chain.

We'll celebrate our accomplishments from the past year and hear from keynote speaker Vivian Howard, an award-winning cookbook author, TV personality, chef, restaurateur, and farm kid from Deep Run, N.C.

Join CTIC this Thursday (May 7) at 3 ET/2 CT, along with N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, NC State University, and North Carolina A&T State University for a look into the research that is driving the next generation of best practices and regenerative agriculture.

North Carolina’s Experiment Stations were established in 1877, and since then, the Department of Agriculture has partnered with the area’s universities to establish living laboratories for regional crops, forestry, livestock, poultry, and aquaculture.

The 18-facility network has three research farms near Raleigh, and CTIC will visit the Upper Coastal Plain Research Station during the Conservation in Action Tour on June 4.

Join the state’s research station director and the facility superintendents to discuss what practices are being trialed around the state, including the Center for Environmental Farming Systems at Cherry Research Center, the Central Crops Research Station's development of new varieties, and Upper Coastal Plain Research Station's to***co research and new cultivar trials.
