From a garage in Winamac to a new manufacturing facility in Leiters Ford, BraunAbility's story is a reminder that some of the most impactful innovations start close to home.

WHIN is excited to be working alongside the BraunAbility team through our Innovation-as-a-Service (IaaS) program, helping deploy smart sensor technology that provides real-time visibility into operations as the new facility comes online.

We love opportunities like this to collaborate with local manufacturers, explore new applications for connected technologies, and learn alongside the communities we serve.

WHIN's Josh Karshen enjoyed spending the morning at the Big Pine Creek Field Day in Fowler, Indiana!

With about 65 attendees, the event brought together farmers, industry leaders, and AgTech innovators for a morning of learning and conversation.

Attendees also heard from keynote speaker Don Lamb, Director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, who shared updates on Indiana's agricultural economy and industry outlook.

Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and attendees for a great day of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Please join us in welcoming Xavier Lopez to the WHIN team as our new Technology Solutions Engineer!

Xavier recently earned his Master's degree in Computer Information Technology from Purdue University and will be working closely with our Innovation as a Service (IaaS) team to help deploy and support technology solutions across the region.

We're thrilled to have him on board as we continue helping communities, businesses, and farmers leverage technology to solve real-world challenges.

Please join us in giving Xavier a warm WHIN welcome!

As an Industrial Practitioner Advisory Board (IPAB) of U.S. NSF IoT4Ag, WHIN's Jack Stucky was grateful to attend the 2026 Annual Retreat at Beck's Center in West Lafayette, IN. We got to hear some great AgTech projects happening at University of Pennsylvania, Purdue, U of C Merced, and University of Florida.

WHIN always appreciates the opportunity to stay connected to the broader ag community and see the exciting innovation happening across the country. You can learn more about IoT4Ag here: https://iot4ag.us/

Tiny rows. Big season ahead. 🌱 Rows are turning green, fields are coming to life, and it’s exciting to watch the 2026 growing season begin across our communities!

We’re thankful for the farmers in the Alliance and all the hard work they’re putting in to get another season underway.

WHIN visited a local manufacturer to install differential pressure sensors monitoring pressure drop across industrial air filters in their high-velocity air handling system. The sensors trigger alerts when filters approach end-of-life, enabling maintenance teams to replace them precisely when needed -protecting target airflow, minimizing unplanned downtime, and eliminating the waste of calendar-based replacement schedules.

Join us in celebrating Pat Corey as she begins her well-deserved retirement! From the Regional Cultivation Fund and supporting projects across all 10 counties, to serving as a Microsoft TechSpark Fellow and helping shape WHIN’s broadband story, Pat’s impact is woven into everything we do. Her words, curiosity, and heart helped define WHIN. We’re so grateful for the legacy she leaves behind!

John Karrfalt was out in the field at an Ag Alliance member's farm earlier this month installing CO₂ sensors in grain bins - just a reminder that WHIN’s Innovation as a Service is for farmers, too! From grain bins to school freezers, we’re helping communities put real-time data to work where it matters most.

From Tech Showcase to shop floor...

WHIN joined a scope-setting tour at the Jamestown FTIC plant with Telabotics last week. This is exactly the kind of impact we aim for: local manufacturers connecting with vetted tech partners, asking questions, and discovering high-value automation for their operations. Interactions like this are designed to keep Indiana manufacturing at the forefront of data transformation, from IoT to AI-supported workforce.
