Today was a meaningful start. πŸ’™

We kicked off our Partners in Youth Su***de Prevention (PYSP) initiative with 17 amazing youth-serving nonprofit organizations and community partners at Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette.

Together with our partners at Education Development Center, these organizations are receiving training and access to the PYSP Toolkit to help strengthen how they support youth through education, awareness, and real, actionable prevention strategies.

This is about more than a toolkit. It’s about building confidence, creating support systems, and making sure every young person has someone who knows how to recognize when they need help and how to respond.

We are so grateful to work alongside organizations that are deeply committed to the well-being of youth in our communities.

Today we spent the day with educators and partners from across our region for the Preventing Youth Su***de Initiative (PYSI) Spring Training, a full day dedicated to strengthening the tools and partnerships that help support the mental health of our students.

Participants engaged in hands-on learning and discussions focused on practical strategies schools can use to support students and respond when help is needed.

These conversations are not always easy, but they are essential. By equipping school professionals with practical tools and supportive networks, we continue strengthening our regional response to youth mental health needs.

North Central Health Services is proud to support the Preventing Youth Su***de Initiative and our regional schools working every day to protect the well-being of young people.
