CEGSAC is pleased to invite you to our 2nd Annual Graduate Research Symposium. We will have presentations from grad students in different areas such as Transportation, Geotechnical, Structures, and more!

This is an online two-day event on March 23 and 24 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to receive the links to the event. We are hosting this event on a fun gamified platform called Gather Town.

In support of Purdue Basketball, CEGSAC is hosting a March Madness Bracket Tournament. The brackets became available yesterday and will accept responses until the beginning of the tournament (Thursday 3/18). There will be prizes for the first and second place brackets along with watch parties for the controversial games. Filling out a bracket is fun, enjoyable, and does not require much knowledge as there are always unexpected game outcomes. Join us on Thursday Feb. Feb. 25th from 5-6p.m. for Diversity and Social Justice Discussion Panel for TA's! Panelists from diverse organizations and societies including Minority Engineering Program (MEP), the Black Community Center, the Purdue Arab Society, the Asian American and Asian Resource Cultural Center, the LGBTQ Center, and the Latino Community Center. The Purdue student organizations of ECEGSA, HKN, and IEEE are hosting an engineering-themed virtual escape room through the Co-Rec in collaboration with Aero Assist, CEGSAC, ChEGSO, IEGSO, NSAC, and Power Engineering Society. This event is taking place on Friday, February 12 at 5:30 PM over zoom.

At the bottom of this email there is a link that teams of four can use to register for the event or scan the QR-code on the flyer. Registration is first-come, first serve as there is a cap on the number of teams we are taking. There is no fee for registration. Teams will be contacted after registration has finished with a zoom link for the event.

This is a competitive event; prizes will be given to the team members in the top three ranking teams. Prize information can be found in the flyer and registration form.

The Civil Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Council (CEGSAC) will be hosting the “2021 CE Graduate Research Symposium” during March 22-25, 2021. This year, the event will be held online in shorter time windows spread over 4 days.



This symposium will give graduate students an opportunity to present their current or past research work to industry representatives, students, and faculty members in the form of short presentations (10-15 minutes). We will add a virtual networking session with industry representatives so that students have the opportunity to meet people from industry and talk about research and possible career opportunities.



There will be prizes for best presenters.
