Day 4 of the Haunted House is in the books, and tonight we are shouting out the backbone of this entire event! 🎃🔨

While our actors get the scares, this haunt wouldn't even exist without the incredible crew who shows up nightly for two full weeks before opening to build, paint, wire, and set up every single room. Spending your evenings hammering walls, hanging black lights, and perfecting the props is a massive sacrifice, and we are endlessly grateful for your dedication!

A huge, special thank you goes to the Stanley family for providing a fantastic dinner for our hard-working crew tonight. Keeping this team fueled up is exactly what we need to keep the momentum going! 🍔🥗

Want to join the crew? We still need hands on deck! Volunteers can help out on weekdays from 12:00 PM (noon) to 8:00 PM. Whether you're handy with a hammer or just want to help lend a hand, we'd love to have you.

A lot is happening behind the scenes, from stripping massive amounts of wiring to prepping some awesome handcrafted props and spooky Guess Who game cards. 👀🃏

A huge thank you to the Stanley family for keeping the crew fueled tonight with a delicious chili dinner! It hit the spot. 🍲🔥

How You Can Help:
• 🙋‍♂️ Volunteer for Setup & More: Come hang out and build with the crew weekdays from Noon to 8:00 PM at the Community Center. If you can't make it during those hours but still want to pitch in across the entire Fall Festival, sign up online through https://volunteersignup.org/B77E7.

• 🚗 Trunk or Treat: Don't forget to claim your spot for the Trunk or Treat! To park your car, decorate your trunk, and pass out candy, email [email protected] to get on the official trunk list.

We are making great progress, thanks to those who helped today and tonight. There is still plenty of work to do to bring this scare to life.

A massive thank you to our anonymous donor for surprising the crew with a delicious chicken and mashed potato dinner tonight—it kept us fueled and moving! 🍗🥔🧁

The transformation has begun! 🧛‍♂️✨ Day 1 of turning our Community Center into a haunted house is complete, and we’ve got a few pictures to prove it!

Shout-out to Main Street Deli for keeping our volunteers fed and happy with a delicious dinner, and thank you to everyone who worked hard today and tonight!

We aren't done yet. We will be working on this every weekday through the 21st from Noon to 8:00 PM. Come down and help us bring this haunted house to life!

It takes a village to build an amazing community tradition! 🎃👻🕷️🤎💛

Our upcoming Fall Fest on Saturday, October 24th is entirely volunteer-run, and we really need some community hands to help pull it off this year! If you’ve been looking for a fun way to give back and connect with your neighbors, we would love to have you on board.

We have a spot for everyone, whether you want to work behind the scenes, host a vehicle, or help out on event day:

• 🚗 Host a Trunk: We still have 8 spots available for businesses, organizations, or families to decorate a car and hand out candy! Email [email protected] to claim yours now!
• 🧠 Brainstorm & Plan: Join us TONIGHT at 6:00 PM at the West Jeff Community Center for our Haunted House Planning Meeting!
• 🎨 Create the Magic: Help us ahead of time with painting props and crafting spooky decorations.
• 🥪 Fuel the Crew: We need 4 generous neighbors or businesses to provide meals to feed our volunteers during setup.
• 🎭 Bring the Thrills: We are looking for volunteer Haunt Scarers to bring the Haunted House to life!
• 🚜 Keep Things Moving: Sign up to be a Hayride Helper or keep everyone fed as a Food Helper.
• 🧹 The After-Party Crew: Help us wrap it all up with some clean-up support the next day.

Then you need to host a trunk at the West Jeff Community Center on October 24! We have exactly 10 trunk spots left, and we are looking for the final 10 groups to fill out our lot.

It takes a village to bring the Fall Festival to life!


Our community events are entirely shaped by the people who show up to build them. The annual Fall Festival is a massive celebration for our town, and it only happens when we all come together. The shared laughs during prep, the chaotic fun of dressing up as board game characters, and the pride of seeing local families enjoy what we built together is what community is all about.

There is a place for absolutely everyone here!

Whether you want to help with the festival as a whole or focus on our biggest attraction—the Haunted House—your presence matters. The Haunted House requires its own dedicated crew for multiple phases:
Before the Festival: Helping us paint backdrops, construct props, and handle set-up.
During the Festival: Bringing characters to life, scaring visitors, and keeping the attraction running smoothly.
After the Festival: Helping our crew break down the sets and handle clean-up.

Fueling the Fun (Family Style).

We love seeing entire families get involved together. Because evening volunteer shifts can conflict with family dinner time, we always try to provide a meal for our crew so you can jump straight into the fun. To make this happen, we just need 5 more meal donations from local groups, businesses, or residents. Taking care of each other is how we keep this tradition going!
