Flora is one of the two children at Bly and is Miles’s younger sister. Flora is initially presented as a charming, well-behaved, almost angelic child. The governess idealizes her appearance and behavior.

Maya is excited to return to the Ashe County Little Theatre stage, where audiences previously saw her in The Time Wizard. She is thrilled to take on the role of Flora in Turn of the Screw.

A huge fan of musicals, Maya loves being involved in theatre and is grateful for this opportunity to perform. She would like to thank Ms. Mary Job for encouraging her to become more involved in theatre and helping inspire her love of the stage.

Meet Hunter Hogg. Hunter is the Uncle and Peter Quint in "The Turn of the Screw." The Uncle is the children’s guardian and the governess’s employer. He is wealthy, attractive, and socially powerful, but he is also distant and irresponsible.

Peter Quint is the former valet at Bly and one of the ghosts the governess claims to see.

Hunter Hogg is happy to be back on the ACLT stage. Since his debut in 2018, Hunter has performed many roles, the most recent of which is the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, B. Flatt in Second Samuel, and Dr. Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein.

We'd like to introduce Jill Gambill. She is playing Mrs. Grose, the loyal, working-class housekeeper at Bly Manor, the country estate where the governess takes her new position. She provides the governess with important information about the household and the children. She is the governess's only initial ally at Bly Manor.

Jill has been active in ACLT since 2000. She has participated in more than 30 shows, including The Mountain in Us where she portrayed her 6th great-grandmother, and Matilda as The Trunchbull. When not on stage, she teaches art at Ashe Middle School. Enjoy the show!

Get your calendars ready—the biggest night of the year is almost here! Not only will you find out exactly what shows are hitting the Ashe County Little Theatre stage in 2027, but season tickets will officially go on sale that night!

This special evening will feature live music, wine and beer, and hors d'oeuvres.
We also will be hosting a raffle throughout the night to win a 2027 Season Flex Pass! Join us:

Secrets are best revealed slowly. Over the next week, we invite you behind the scenes of "The Turn of the Screw" to meet the cast bringing Henry James’s gothic masterpiece The Turn of the Screw—psychological thriller to life. First up: The Governess, Audrey Head, the unnamed hero hired to care for two orphaned children at the remote Bly estate.

Audrey is thrilled to return to the ACLT stage for her third production following her roles in Exit Laughing and Shrek the Musical. She would like to thank her husband for his infinite support, her fellow castmates and crew for their dedication and friendship, and director, Sally, for bringing this story to the Ashe County community.
