We are lining up on Wabash!

Alright, Ladies and Gents! Here is the much anticipated lineup for Saturday, July 4th 2026 - BE SURE TO READ THE WHOLE POST FOR ALL IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION** - Construction has added a couple obstacles for us this year.
All parade participants MUST enter from North 3rd Street, with construction you will not be able to enter the lineup from South 3rd. Lineup streets are NOT drop off streets. If your vehicle is not in the parade, you should not be in the lineup locations. Drop walkers and parade participants off on Second Street and they can cross 3rd Street to get to their designated line up location. We are down a lineup street due to construction, so our lineup will be a little tight this year.

The lineup is subject to change as we see fit. The street you are on will not change; however, you may be asked to rearrange just a little. Please make sure to see one of our amazing volunteers (they’ll be in reflector vests along the lineup streets) to find out where to go when you arrive in the morning.

If you do not see your name on the list, it is because I did not receive your registration. Send me a message and we’ll get it straightened out.

If you’re one of the bands, you’ll be lining up on the opposite side of 3rd Street…not with the rest of the floats. You’ll see that information highlighted in blue.

Candy needs to be thrown to the sidewalk. Yes, kids throwing candy out of a vehicle is super cute, but it’s not safe when spectators try to run into the middle of the road to snag up that candy. Please be mindful of this to avoid any accidents.

And lastly, we have a Sensory Zone this year beginning at Rare Earth Goods until the High School, please be cautious and turn off loud noises and flashing lights during this section. We appreciate your cooperation.

PS - Be nice!! We’re all just volunteers that are trying our very best to put on a fun and safe day for a community that we care a lot about. We’re always open to feedback, but please understand that we are a small committee doing the best we can - Tia Alquaree

Thank you and have a Safe and Happy Holiday Weekend!!

It was an honor to work with the veterans of the Negaunee VFW Post #3165. Today we employed our Simple Service Program and helped to replace and plant new flags at the resting sites of military service members ahead of Memorial Day.

Simple Service Program: Focused on conducting smaller, manageable service projects on the west end of Marquette County, designed to make volunteering easy and accessible.

RE: Ishpeming Rotary Club Raises $13K at Annual Fundraiser

The Ishpeming Rotary Club recently held their annual fundraiser at the Northern Center at Northern Michigan University in February. The event was entitled “Sport’s FAN-demonium”, which featured a meal, game show, and other fundraising activities, where attendees dressed in their favorite sports teams’ attire.

“This year’s event was a great success and brought in record funds for the club, over $13,000. These funds are critical to our club and its ability to do the good works in the west end of Marquette County”, Nate Heffron, Club President said.

Ishpeming Rotary is transitioning to smaller projects on the west end, with a focus on their volunteering through their Simple Service Program. A service that is easy to join and meaningful to give. Meeting real needs through small, consistent acts that anyone can take part in.

“We are very thankful for all the businesses, organizations, and individuals that have supported our fundraiser throughout our existence. Without their support, we would not be able to do what we have”, Heffron said.

The Ishpeming Rotary Club meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. Twice a month at the River Rock Lanes in Ishpeming, once a month at a newly opened business or other offsite location to learn more about the community, and once a month for a social gathering at a restaurant. Should you be interested in becoming a member, please PM us.
