Hollywood Wushu Association Hollywood Wushu Association is founded with main purpose of promoting Chinese contemporary Wushu in mind.

Hollywood Wushu Association is a community non-profit organization which targets entertainment industry community and Chinese Contemporary Wushu community in an effort to promote Wushu as an art form and combat form on and off the silver screen. Wushu as a branch of Chinese martial art has been popularized by Kung Fu films such as Shaolin Temple, Crunching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, Matrix etc; and

international action star Jet Li has singlehandedly made Wushu appealing to public on the silver screen. We are proud to present grandmaster Lingmei Zhang who headed the Chinese Wushu delegation visiting the White House in 1974 (Jet Li was one of the youngest athletes on the team) as our head coach. She started practicing Wushu at tender age of thirteen and her legacy continues as Wushu evolving into a major branch of Chinese martial arts. Being as a key celebrity in Chinese Wushu society, she coached both Jet Li and Yuan Wenqing--the two most important Wushu champions of modern China. Whether you have a Hollywood dream to become an action star, or simply want to maintain health and fitness, join us in practicing Wushu and promoting Chinese martial arts.

It was the National Committee that first brought future kung-fu movie star Jet Li to the United States — at age 11. Li was part of a four-week wushu (martial arts) team tour in 1974. The group performed in Hawaii, San Francisco, New York, and Washington, D.C., where they were received by President Nixon and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Master Lingmei Zhang was the head coach for this Wushu delegation! She performed double straight sword in Hawaii!
