The Valley Cultural Foundation's Concerts at Warner Park return this summer, bringing free live music to Woodland Hills on Sunday evenings through the end of August.

The series has become a longtime summer tradition in the San Fernando Valley, featuring tribute bands, local performers, and Emerging Artists who open each concert before the headlining act takes the stage.

The Golden Globe Foundation is proud to support the Emerging Artists Program, which provides up-and-coming musicians with opportunities to perform, build their audiences, and gain experience in front of large crowds. Through this program, young artists are able to share their work with thousands of concertgoers throughout the summer season.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive has named image maker, creative director, and educator Nesanet Teshager Abegaze as its 2026 Artist-in-Residence.

Her project, "Intimate Monuments," will combine photography, moving images, and sound design to explore connections between homeland, diaspora, and generations. Drawing from the Archive's Hearst Metrotone News Collection, Abegaze will weave archival footage of Ethiopia together with personal and communal histories to examine cultural memory, displacement, and preservation.

The Golden Globe Foundation is proud to support the UCLA Film & Television Archive's Artist-in-Residence Program, which provides artists with access to one of the nation's most significant moving image collections. The residency is part of the Archive's ongoing work to preserve, restore, and reimagine the stories that shape our collective visual history.

Congratulations to Nesanet Teshager Abegaze.

Documentary filmmakers and journalists gathered at the Golden Globe Foundation for the International Documentary Association’s Safety Planning Training for Documentarians.

Presented in partnership with the Journalism Protection Initiative, the full-day program explored the physical, digital, psychological, and legal aspects of safety planning for nonfiction storytellers working in an increasingly complex media environment.

Led by Kate Parkinson and featuring Jennifer Nelson, Ariel Ritchin, and Davis Erin Anderson, the training combined expert guidance, practical exercises, and peer-to-peer learning to help participants better prepare for the challenges they may encounter in the field.

The event brought together representatives from several organizations working to support journalists and documentary filmmakers, including Golden Globe Foundation grantee Freedom of the Press Foundation and former grantee Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. The training was organized by Armando Zamudio and Maria Santos.
